~ n 1 formal an opinion or feeling you have about something  (It is my sentiment that we should vote against the motion. | popular sentiment (=what most people think) | my/your sentiments)  (I share your sentiments entirely.) 2 feelings of pity, love, sadness etc that are often considered to be too strong or not suitable for a particular situation  (There's no place for sentiment in business!)
